BUT this is what I KNOW for sure...
Your body is fat (and may become sick) because you're stressed out.
Instead of asking yourself, "Why can't I lose weight or keep it off when I do?", you should ask yourself,
"Why does my body want to be fat?"
If you are living under chronic low level stress you probably are:
- Leptin resistant (scroll down more info)
- Chronically dieting (yo-yo dieting)
- Worrying about things you can't change
- Someone with digestive issues
- Starving nutritionally, emotionally & spiritually
Your Primal Brain only knows how to protect you in 3 ways, so you don't:
Low level chronic stress hormones trigger your primal brain to "keep you safe". When you experience stressors in your life; your primal brain says, (in most people), "O.K. here's a stress, but we're not moving (not fighting nor fleeing), so it must be the great famine. I'll make fat. Cortisol is telling me to make fat and not build muscle. Nevermind good digestion, we're in "stress response mode".
This is the adaptation to your low-level chronic stress. It's VERY important how your body interprets this stress. So no matter what you eat, supplements you take to avoid sickness, how much you exercise, you'll have difficulty losing weight...because YOUR BODY WANTS TO BE FAT!
The Minky Way wants you to get your body
to feel it has to be thin to survive!
Another way you make it hard for your body lose weight is if you try to do things to your body that it's not physiologically used to doing naturally. For example:
I know that if you want to eat 5-6 'mini-low fat-low-calorie meals' a day, you'll look like other animals that graze...like a cow. This is actually a stress for your body. It's not natural.
Physiologically speaking...
Everytime you eat anything; you make insulin. Insulin is a fat-storing hormone.
Stop eating so often. Give your pancreas a rest already. Embrace hunger. Take pleasure in knowing you're about to enjoy a full-fat macro-nutrient meal. Wouldn't you rather have a full meal than a snack of crap?
If you must snack, use your body's natural snack (glycogen from the liver). In order to do this, your pancreas has to produce glucagon, the opposite of insulin, and is your fat-burning hormone. Your stomach has to be empty or close to empty.
(Eating this way also helps increase your sensitivity to leptin. Which is what you want)
Where do you think 8am, 12noon, 5pm comes from?
If you have to eat every 2.5 hours (and not training for the Olympics); then your metabolically UNFIT. You're not eating enough food, enough full fat, enough protein, limited carb during your meals. If you keep pumping out insulin you may eventually become insensitive to it and that ladies, IS type 2 diabetes.
Also eating like this supports leptin resistance. Which is what you don't want!
You need to eat in a way the increases your sensitivity to the hormone leptin which acts as a messenger to tell your primal brain about how much energy (fat) it has (in its gas tank) for survival. If you're leptin resistant; your gas gauge (leptin) is broken. Your primal brain gets the signal from leptin that you're tank is almost empty, even though you have 50 lbs. of excess fat on your body. You'll never be successful (long term) in your weightloss efforts if you are leptin resistant and stressed-out.

I know sugar/vegetable oils cause inflammation and kills you; NOT cholesterol.

- I want to sit in the sun between 11am and 1pm. Why? Cause it's the best source of vitamin D.
- I want to eat liver, eggs, butter and lard. Why? Because cholesterol is the precursor to good hormone production. And you need saturated fat for absorption of fat soluble vitamins.
- I avoid soy,vegetable oils, HFCS, MSG & fake sugar. Why? 'Cause they are all processed and are the main contributors to inflammatory diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc.
- I never want to get married again. Why? 'Cause I'm told that it extends your life... for who? I think him; not me. Another reason I'd rather tell you than write about...it involves a pleasure exercise.
- I don't multi-task. I want to be focused... not do 10 things half-assed and can't remember what I did.
Multi-taskers=Scatter brains=stressed out
- I exercise hard; but short. Why? Because you have to exercise like a predator is chasing you to burn fat. I call it 'Predator Panting Cardio' (PPC). When you are stressed and you just 'take it' and don't move; your body makes fat to protect you. Stop hating your body for protecting you. You have you change your body's interpretation of the stress. PPC does this. It sets your system up to not release as much cortisol in future stressful situations. (you need some stress; but daily chronic stress makes you fat-in most people). Also metabolism is key. To increase your metabolism, you must change the ability of your heart & lungs to perform under stress-challenge them every time you exercise. Change your body composition. To build muscle you have to overload it, feed it and rest it. Besides I don't have 6 hours a week to spend in a gym. Do you?
- I drink one alcoholic drink a day. Why? 'Cause I can. No really, there's proof 1 drink a day is far better than no alcohol at all.
- I think for myself. Why? 'Cause I'm NOT a sheeple! I don't follow what's necessarily popular or politically correct at the expense of my beliefs. 30% of you think like me; the other 70% care what other people think. Also I ask myself does this belief serve me and my values?
- By the way, did you ever notice that those people who agree with you are smart and those who disagree with you are stupid? I DON'T take that position. I try to stay 'In the learn' NOT 'In the know' ...remember I could be wrong. I could learn more. I want to learn more.
